Read Status System

How Read Status Works

The forum tracks what content you've seen:

  • Bold thread titles: Contain new/unread content
  • Normal thread titles: You've seen all content
  • Blue indicators: Mark specific unread items
  • Timestamps: Show when content was last updated

Mark as Read Features

Individual Threads

  • Reading a thread automatically marks it as read
  • Scrolling through posts updates your read position
  • Manual "Mark as Read" button available

Read Status Benefits

  • Quickly identify new content across the forums
  • Resume reading where you left off
  • Avoid missing important updates in followed discussions
  • Efficient browsing of large forum sections

Best Practices

Subscription Management

  • Subscribe selectively to avoid notification overload
  • Regular cleanup of old or irrelevant subscriptions
  • Batch check notifications rather than constant monitoring
